What is stored on your device
Your browser's local storage keeps your last nickname, the chosen format, your own recent scores and, if you publish a score, a code that lets you remove that entry again. This is needed for the quiz you asked to play (§ 165 (3) TKG 2021), stays on your device and is never sent anywhere except the code when you remove an entry. You can delete it any time by clearing the site data in your browser.
Public leaderboard
Only if you tick the box and press "Publish score", we store your nickname, score, number of best answers, average decision time, quiz format and the date, and show the nickname and results publicly. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR).
- Please don't use your real name. Use of the leaderboard requires you to be 14 or older, or to have a parent's consent.
- We do not store your IP address with the entry. To prevent spam, a one-way hash of your IP address that changes every day is kept for at most 24 hours.
- Entries are deleted automatically after 12 months.
- You can withdraw your consent at any time: use "Remove my entry" right after publishing, or email us with your nickname, format and date.
Server logs
Our web host easyname GmbH (Vienna, Austria) processes technical access data (IP address, time, requested page, browser) to deliver the site and keep it secure – legitimate interest, Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The host keeps these logs only as long as needed for operation and security and then deletes them. The host acts as our processor under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). All data stays in the EU.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object (Art. 15–21 GDPR), and to withdraw consent with effect for the future. Contact us at the email above. You can also complain to the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde), Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb.gv.at.
